ViaTech Spotlight is a blog series that aims to shine a light on ViaTech’s dynamic culture – from the talented individuals who comprise our team to the causes that we’re passionate about. Once a month, we’ll feature someone (or something) new on our blog and social media accounts. Follow along for a chance to get to know us!

Since its founding, ViaTech has been committed to delivering the best possible experience to its customers. Providing these positive user experiences becomes increasingly important as the company shifts focus to developing its suite of SaaS products for streamlining content management. In 2021, ViaTech is dedicated to appointing resources to help meet its goal of ensuring customer satisfaction. We are excited to introduce Damon Daniels, who has just joined ViaTech's Workflow Automation team.

Damon is responsible for the design, execution and automation of technology workflows. Here are his thoughts on joining ViaTech.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A native Texan, I’ve lived in Dallas-Ft. Worth since 2000. I’ve worked in the industry for 24 years, doing everything from running stat cameras (horizontal copy cameras) to managing complex DAM systems. I love learning new things. At the end of the day, I’m a right-brain person just trying to make it in a left-brain world!

Why did you choose ViaTech?

Who wouldn’t want to work with such a friendly group of people? Honestly, I chose ViaTech for its workplace culture as well as its forward thinking and appreciation for automation.

What is your role on the team?

I’ve been brought on to manage workflow automation and to provide technical support to the production team, among other things.

What tasks do you carry out in your role, and what are some of the tools you’ll be using?

I’ll be monitoring workflows and making sure that everything keeps moving along smoothly. We’ll be using the Solimar suite of tools and the CIS dashboard.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I love to travel whenever possible and never pass up a good road trip. Some days, you'll find me working on a painting or sculpture. I also waste too much time mountain biking and watching good movies, bad movies and weird movies.
